Ronnie has been a Chief of Police, provided training for numerous foreign allied countries, and is an IDPA Expert Class shooter. Rosie is a retired Navy Chief Gunners Mate, a police officer, a certified police instructor and an IPSC Range Master with 15 years of experience.

The Rogers Shooting School is located in the beautiful mountains of north Georgia near the town of Ellijay.  It is about a 1.5 hour drive from the Atlanta Airport. Please see the page on directions. Nearby there are numerous rivers, lakes, hiking, and biking trails for the outdoor enthusiast.  The school offers its own food and lodging program which is optional.  Please see the page on Philosophy to understand more about how we teach, the Cost page for pricing and available services, and the Schedule page for available classes.  We list, on our Schedule page, our open individual classes around January 15 as well as price changes for the entire year. If we have a group cancel during the year, we may add an "individual" class to the schedule during the year.  There is no need to call us before January 15 for an individual class schedule because it is usually not finalized before that date.  If you are a group and want to organize a class, by all means contact us any time for scheduling.

Our school normally operates from the first week of March through the first week of December. Our main business is teaching special military units that contract with us through the "Group" program.  We also offer 6 to 8 open or "Individual" classes during the year, usually associated with the best time of year, weather wise.   We offer three day rifle classes and five day handgun classes for groups as well as individuals.  The rifle classes start on Wednesday evening and end on Saturday.  The handgun classes start with a mandatory lecture and safety briefing on a Sunday evening and end around noon on the following Friday.  They include a night shoot.   The minimum group size is ten students or the equivalent in tuition if a smaller group wants a custom class.  We are capable of teaching handgun, submachine gun, Rifle-carbine, and shotgun. For groups we can offer a shotgun or M-4 9MM program taught concurrently with the handgun program. Please see our Shoulder weapons page for additional information. In addition to our own reactive target system for handgun and rifles, we also have a Trap field, Skeet field, and a unique Sporting Clays range using 14 individual traps.  Our normal groups have historically been police or military units but in the last few years we have conducted custom classes for a variety of groups including major companies in the shooting industry.  There is the ability to customize the program for a group to include instruction in several areas.  If you would like to contact us in regards to a custom class for a group, please E-mail us.

Through out the year we offer classes for individuals in handgun instruction with an optional shotgun  program taught concurrently.  We also offer a three day Urban Rifle course taught Thursday through Saturday prior to the start of a handgun program. We offer a basic handgun class for those with little shooting experience and an intermediate- advanced class for those that are more experienced.  Please visit our page on classes for further information.
